The Masters
Of Wisdom
There is
an idea of a Demiurge, a primordial eternal influence which parallels
the development of man, interceding as and when necessary to assist at
vital stages of his development. This invisible influence is understood
to work through the forces of nature and the icons
of man to bring knowledge, understanding and rare abilities to certain
select people.
These people have appeared in all the different ages of man from caveman
period to the modern day. Also known as spiritual teachers mystics and
shamans, they exist in our modern times as they did to the 'cave man'.
|
They
brought information and advice to their people, assisting in the smooth
running of their communities.
These shamans, mystics and healers are all touched by this power as a
part of their daily work. Their influence and renown has spread far beyond
their locality.
In
the 13th Century such a man appeared, Bahauddin Naqshband, a Sufi from
Bukhara.
Taught by local Central Asian Sufi teachers and through dreams from an
11th Century Master of the Khwajagan Order, Abd-ul-Haliq Khwajdawani.
They were at first a clandestine Sufi Brotherhood centred on Bukhara,
dry, dusty Oasis town in Central Asia.
